This service was first introduced as part of Spb Online, but has now been released as a stand-alone app.
It offers a selection of public TV channels, fast channel switching, intelligent stream correction, picture-in-picture mode, on-screen controls, and an integrated TV guide with export of show reminders into Outlook.
Spb TV 1.0 is compatible with smartphones running on Windows Mobile 5 and later, Professional and Standard editions, QVGA, VGA, Square QVGA, and WVGA screen resolutions are supported.
There are full and a freeware versions, but the freeware one is limited in features and number of channels available. This application requires a reliable 3G, WiMAX or Wi-Fi network connection for proper streaming.
Spb TV costs $14.95, and can be downloaded from the Spb Software website.
