Facebook for BlackBerry 1.5 Integrates the Phone and Online Worlds

A new version of the Facebook application for BlackBerrys has been released. This offers greater integration between this online service and the smartphone.

The feature in version 1.5 that has drawn the most attention is the integration between Facebook and the BlackBerry's own address book: a friend's profile photo can be placed in the smartphone's contacts list. Events on Facebook, such as birthdays, can also be easily transferred to the phone.

Naturally, Facebook for BlackBerry lets users update their status, and view and comment on their friends’ status. It also allows pictures to be easily shared.
