Axim Windows Mobile 2003 issue fixed

The issue with Dell's implementation of Windows Mobile 2003 which caused decreased performance for has been resolved, according to multiple sources. Dell ceased shipments of Axim PocketPCs earlier this month after bugs were discovered in the first shipments with the new OS.

While unconfirmed, it is also being reported that Dell will release a new ROM update for the affected Axims on Saturday, the 26th.

William Baxter, founder of mobile device design and consulting firm BSquare, announced Thursday that he would step down from the position of Chairman and CEO, though he will remain a board member and Chief Technology Officer. BSquare is well known for it's popular "SDIO Now!" accelerated SDIO support program.
