AT&T has promised to release the latest BlackBerry model in the next few months. The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is a thin and light smartphone with a relatively high-resolution screen and a full QWERTY keyboard.
It uses RIM's standard tablet design, with a keyboard below its 2.44-inch, HVGA+ (480 by 360 pixel) display. The 8900 is the thinnest and lightest BlackBerry with a full keyboard.
This quad-band GSM smartphone does not have 3G, but does include Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth. AT&T customers who use this device with an unlimited data plan will have access to this carrier's 20,000 hotspots in the U.S.
It also also has a 512 MHz processor, GPS receiver, a 3.2 MPx camera, and a 1400 mAHr battery that gives it a talk time of 5.5 hours and approximately 15 days of standby time.
"This new smartphone has a stunning design that builds upon the success of the BlackBerry Curve with more features for applications, all in a high-quality handset," said
AT&T Pricing and Availability
AT&T says it will release the BlackBerry Curve 8900 in "early summer" but declined to be any more specific than that.
