A new version of the Amazon Kindle e-book reader with a significantly bigger screen is supposedly going to be unveiled tomorrow.
This device has yet to be announced, but information that has leaked out indicates that this model will have a 9.7-inch e-ink display, while the current version of this device has a 6-inch one.
It will also include a better web browser than has been available in previous Kindle models.
Images of the upcoming Kindle DX that have leaked out show it will have the same general design as the current one, with a small keyboard below the display.
There is no word yet on when this device will be available for sale, or what it will cost.
The Textbook of the Future?
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, students at Case Western Reserve University will be using this new Kindle as their chemistry and computer science textbook. This will be a test program to see if e-book readers can replace traditional textbooks.
