The BlackBerry Curve 8520 will be released by T-Mobile USA near the end of this year, if an unconfirmed report is correct.
The first thing about this smartphone that catches the attention of most people is the optical trackball. This replaces the more traditional trackball on current RIM models. Aside from this new feature, the 8520 is an entry-level device, with no 3G, Wi-Fi, or GPS support.
It will use the traditional BlackBerry design, with a QWERTY keyboard below its QVGA display.
Other features are going to include a 2 MPx camera and a 1150 mAh battery.
Coming this Fall
According to an unconfirmed report, T-Mobile USA will release the BlackBerry Curve 8520 during the fourth quarter of this year.
There is no word yet on cost, but given the feature set the price is expected to be low.
