NBC has launched a mobile site that allows many phone users to watch full episodes of this networks most popular shows for free.
TV programs that can be watched on this site include Heroes, The Office, Medium, Crusoe, Knight Rider, and several more. For some shows there's just a few episodes available, but for ones like Heroes there are about dozen or more.
NBC says this service will work with many BlackBerrys, the iPhone and iPod touch, and others. Most Windows Mobile, Android, and Symbian smartphones should be able to watch the episodes, as an Adobe Flash player is not necessary.
To learn more, go to NBC's website on a PC, or go to m.nbc.com on a smartphone.
The Quest for Mobile Video
PC and notebook users can watch TV programs from sites like Hulu, but these sites use Adobe Flash, and support for this streaming video format isn't widely available on smartphones.
This may change, as Adobe is working to bring its software to more mobile devices. In addition, Hulu is reportedly developing an iPhone app.
