In the past few months there have been a few unconfirmed reports of the second-generation BlackBerry Storm, and now the first pictures of this smartphone have appeared.

These weren't accompanied by a written description of the device, so all that's known is what can be ascertained by examining the images.
They show that the Storm 2 will strongly resemble its predecessor, but it appears to be a bit thinner.
In addition, the buttons below the display now seem to be integrated into the touchscreen.
Earlier Reports
The previous reports on the Storm 2 haven't revealed much about this upcoming device.
Still, those who are interested in it should be pleased to hear that it is expected to have Wi-Fi, a feature notably absent from the current model.
This BlackBerry is allegedly going to be released by Verizon in September.
An Overview of the BlackBerry Storm
The Storm is the first BlackBerry with a touchscreen, and this smartphone has a tablet shape with a 3.25-inch, 360-by-480-pixel display. It doesn't have a built-in keyboard, so all text is entered on the display.
Verizon's version of this smartphone -- the 9530 -- has support for this carrier's EV-DO network, but doesn't stop there; to allow users to roam around the world, it also has a quad-band GSM and 2100 MHz HSDPA.
In addition, it includes Bluetooth 2.0, a GPS receiver, and a 3.2 MPx camera with flash.
