Google launched a version of its online shopping service for phones running its Android OS a few weeks ago, and has now enhanced this with barcode scanning.
Google Product Search gives information like prices, ratings, reviews, and product details from all over the Web. And thanks to the new support for bar-code scanning, users can now easily get information on the items they are looking for.
Currently, Google says this function works best for products like electronics, books, movies, or video games, but the company is working on adding more barcodes for other items
