Sony Ericsson has released an update to the system software on the Xperia X1 that makes a number of improvements to this Windows phone.
The R3A firmware update will improve the wireless performance of this smartphone, and also improve the responsiveness of the touchscreen.
It will also increase the brightness of the keyboard's backlight, and make other changes.
The Xperia X1 R3A update can be downloaded now with Sony Ericsson's update service.

The Xperia X1 includes a 3-inch, WVGA Touchscreen that can slide aside to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. Other navigation options are a four-way d-pad and an optical joystick.
This is a quad-band GSM phone with support for 3G. It also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
This Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional device includes up to 400 MB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot for additional storage.
In addition, this model has a-GPS, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and an FM receiver.
