Facebook Widget Released for Touchscreen-Based Symbian S60 Phones

Highlighting the recent opening of the Ovi Store, Nokia has released a Facebook Web-Run-Time (WRT) widget for Symbian S60 devices with touchscreens. 

Facebook for S60 5th Edition features:

• Status updates
• Ability to check messages and lookup phone numbers
• Ability to leave status comments
• RSVP to event invites 
• Confirm/deny friend requests

This applications integrates with the smartphones built-in camera to take pictures and video and upload them immediately.

A free application, this is the same Facebook application that has been demoed in several showings of the upcoming Nokia N97 handset, but has been released ahead of the N97 and is compatible with the 5800 XpressMusic device.
