Google Releases orkut Mobile App

Google has introduced the beta of an application that allows orkut users to use access this social networking site's scraps, status updates, and photos on their phone.

The orkut Mobile App, available for most Java-enabled devices, lets users write and read scraps, update their status, searching for users, and view and accept friend requests.

Other features include

• Take a photo on their phone and upload it their album.
• Share photos with other orkut users or SMS them to phone contacts not yet on orkut.
• Call or SMS orkut friends or phone contacts without leaving the app.
• View scraps, updates from friends, and photo albums in offline mode.

To install the free beta version of orkut Mobile, visit m.google.com/orkut on a Java-enabled phone.
