Palm has released the second small update for the Palm Pre's operating system in as many weeks. This makes a few changes to the way this smartphone synchronizes with both Google and Exchange. It also fixes a few bugs.
According to this company, webOS 1.0.3 does not include any new software. It does, however, offer the following changes:
This update started being pushed out to Palm Pre users yesterday, so that everyone will receive it over the next few days. Those who don't want to wait can go to the Updates application on their device and download it immediately.
Unlike with Palm OS-based devices from this company, installing webOS 1.0.3 does not involve erasing everything on the smartphone, and can be done in a few minutes.

Before the debut of the Pre and the webOS, Palm committed to releasing free software updates to enhance its new generation of products. There was some skepticism of this at the time, as software updates for this company's Palm OS-based models were few and far between
So far, things have been different with the webOS, as Palm is on its second update for a device that's only been in customer hands for two weeks.
