Some additional information has leaked out about an upcoming Windows phone from HTC, including a high-quality picture.
This device -- code-named Firestone -- will apparently have a focus on multimedia, with a 3.6-inch, WVGA, capacitive touchscreen and a front- and rear-facing speakers.
It will also reportedly by HTC's first with an 8 megapixel camera.
A Windows Phone
According to unconfirmed reports, this model will be released running Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro on a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor, but an upgrade to version 6.5 is considered virtually certain.
As a Windows phone, it will come with Microsoft's suite of entertainment and productivity applications, including Office Mobile and Outlook Mobile.
In addition, HTC can be counted on to make the Firestone more fingertip-friendly by replacing the standard user interface with its own, TouchFLO 3D.
Other features will include 256 MB of RAM and a microSD card slot.
As it has yet to be officially announced, many of the details about this smartphone are still unknown, like size and weight, wireless networking capabilities, and more.
The HTC Firestone will supposedly be released for GSM networks in August, possibly in N. America.
