The Samsung Solstice will be coming to AT&T early next month. This smartphone will have an entry-level price and a focus on consumers.
The prominent feature of this model will be its 3-inch touchscreen, and it will use Samsung's TouchWiz user interface, which has been designed to let users control their phone with their fingertips.
Text will be entered with an on-screen QWERTY keyboard
Consumer-Oriented Apps
Software will give users access to social-networking sites, including Facebook and MySpace.
Naturally, the Solstice will also have messaging capabilities: e-mail, IM, and MMS.
In addition to its regular audio and video player, it will offer support for AT&T Mobile Music with Napster Mobile and eMusic Mobile.
3G Inside
This Samsung model will be able to connect to AT&T's high-speed mobile broadband service, as well as Bluetooth accessories.
It will also include a 2.0 megapixel camera with video support and a microSD memory card slot.

The Samsung Solstice will be released on Aug. 2 through AT&T retail locations an www.wireless.att.com
It will sell for $100 with a two-year service agreement and a monthly messaging or data plan of $20 or more.
