Take a Sneak Peek at the User Interface for Future HTC Windows Phones

HTC has a long habit of replacing the standard user interface on its smartphones with one of its own creation. For a couple of years now, the replacement UI on its Windows phones has been TouchFLO, but this is about to change.

In June, this company unveiled HTC Sense, which is the user interface for its phones running Google's Android OS. In the not too distant future, it will also be the UI for its Windows phones.

The Sense UI has many similarities to TouchFLO, but is definitely brighter and more colorful. Like its predecessor, it groups functions into tabs, like Mail, Internet, Music, Weather, but these aren't in white on a black background, as current version is.

HTC has already shipped its first Android model with the Sense UI on it, but hasn't yet revealed what the Windows Mobile version will look like. However, the system software for a future HTC Windows phone has leaked out, giving the world a sneak peek at the new UI -- code-named Manila.

When this company will start shipping devices with Microsoft's operating system and HTC HTC is not known, but it will likely be this fall.
