Verizon has yet to officially announce that it's going to offer the HTC Touch Pro2, but there can be little doubt its going to happen at some point. As evidence, a new image and a video of this high-end Windows phone with the Verizon logo has leaked out.
These don't reveal much new information about this model, but do help confirm some earlier reports.
At the top of this list is the most obvious: that Verizon really is going to release a replacement for its version of the original Touch Pro before too much longer.
In addition, the video shows that this will be a worldphone, with support for this carrier's CDMA network in the U.S., but also the ability to access GSM networks when roaming in other countries.
In addition, multimedia fans should be pleased to see the 3.5 mm headset jack on this version. Other Touch Pro2 depend on HTC's ExtUSB plug for power and audio.
Despite these leaks, it's not clear when Verizon is going to release the HTC Touch Pro2.

An Overview of the HTC Touch Pro2
The Touch Pro2 will be a "slider," a smartphone with a landscape-oriented sliding QWERTY keyboard. It will also have a 3.6 inch, WVGA (800 by 480 pixel) touchscreen. It will mark the return of the slide-and-tilt screen that was a hallmark of an earlier smartphone from HTC, the AT&T Tilt.
This HTC model will debut with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1, but make the jump to Windows Mobile 6.5 when this new version is available.
The Touch Pro2 will be built around a 528 MHz processor from Qualcomm, 288 MB of RAM, and a microSD card slot.
In addition to mobile broadband, it will have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera, a GPS receiver, and a 1500 mAh battery.
Coming to T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and More
If Verizon is quick enough, it could be the second U.S. wireless phone company to offer HTC's latest model, but not the first: that honor is going to belong to T-Mobile, who will launch the Touch Pro2 next week.
Others are also working to get versions of this smartphone on the market, including Sprint and AT&T.
