Opera Software is working on a version of its flagship web browser for smartphones running Google's Android operating system.
There is already a version of Opera Mini for Android, but this announcement means the company is also developing a version of Opera Mobile for this OS. Mini is a stripped down version of this browser designed to reduce the amount of data used when surfing the Web, while Opera Mobile rivals the capabilities of the desktop version of this application.
Jon von Tetzchner, Opera Software's CEO, was not willing to say when this browser will be released.
