Information on the Motorola Morrison -- the replacement for the T-Mobile G1 -- has been trickling out for months, but a full list of specifications hasn't been available... until now.
This model has not been formally announced, but a spec sheet has leaked out. Added to the images that have appeared previously, and a fairly complete picture of this device can be out together.
As one would expect, the Morrison offers everything the current model does, and more. It will reportedly run Google's Android OS on a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor, and have 256 MB of RAM.
Like its predecessor, this device will have an HVGA screen than slides aside to reveal a QWERTY keyboard.
It will supposedly have a higher resolution camera, too: 5 MPx. This will offer auto-focus, geo-tagging, and video recording at QVGA and 25 fps.
Business Friendly
The G1 is a consumer-focused smartphone, but business users should be pleased to hear that the Morrison will come with support for Exchange ActiveSync.
In addition, it will reportedly include QuickOffice v2 to allow users to view Microsoft office files.
Wireless Capabilities
This Motorola model will allegedly be a quad-band GSM phone with 3G that, naturally, supports T-Mobile's HSDPA network.
In addition, it will have Wi-Fi b/g/i and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. The Morrison will also reportedly include a GPS receiver.
Other Features
This smartphone is expected to be well supplied with a variety of sensors: accelerometer, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.
A microSD memory card slot, with support for 32 GB cards, will round out the feature set.
Coming this Fall
According to an unconfirmed report, T-Mobile USA's scheduled release date for Motorola Morrison is Wednesday, October 21.
Pricing us unknown, but it's expected to debut near the same price as its predecessor: $180.
