First Images of the Android-Based Samsung InstinctQ Come To Light

The first word of the Samsung InstinctQ surfaced recently, but no pictures had emerged showing this Android-based smartphone supposedly on its way to Sprint. This has now changed.

A small collection of images show that this device will have a landscape-oriented sliding QWERTY keyboard, with a small optical touchpad next to the display, in place of a trackball or D-pad.

The InstinctQ will apparently run a standard version of Android, without a replacement user interface.

Coming this Fall
Late last month, a partial roadmap of upcoming products has leaked out of Sprint, and it showed this wireless phone company will launch two Android-based phones on October 11.

One of these is the Samsung InstinctQ, while the other is a version of the HTC Hero.

At this point, many details on the InstinctQ are still unknown. This includes the screen resolution, wireless networking capabilities, price and much more.

Despite these unconfirmed reports, this Samsung model has not yet been announced. However, Sprint's CEO recently promised that his company will release at least one smartphone running Google's OS before the end of this year. And Samsung revealed that it was working on an Android-based device for Sprint many months ago.
