Nokia has just taken the wraps off the Booklet 3G, the company's first netbook.
This will not run any of the operating systems used on current Nokia devices -- not Symbian or Maemo. Instead, like most netbooks, it will be based on Microsoft Windows.
Not all the details on this upcoming model were revealed today, but Nokia did give a few specifications.
The Booklet 3G will have a 10.1 inch HD display, and will have an HDMI port for HD video out.
It will weigh in around 2.2 pounds (1 kg) and be just .8 inches (2 cm) thick.
Considering its a Nokia product with "3G" in its name, it's no surprise that this netbook will sport HSPA mobile broadband. It will also have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and hot-swappable SIM card support.
Other features will include a GPS receiver, a front-facing camera for video conferencing, three USB ports, a headphones jack, and a a built-in SD card reader.
Coming Soon?
Nokia has not announced when it will release the Booklet 3G, nor what it will sell for.
The company did say it will reveal more on September 2 at the Nokia World conference.
