Video Preview of the Samsung I5700 Galaxy Lite Leaks Out

The Samsung I5700 Galaxy Lite hasn't been announced yet, but it moved past the rumor stage when the FCC approved it last month. Still, the video preview of this upcoming Android model that has just leaked out should interest T-Mobile USA customers who are considering this model.

This short video shows off both the hardware and software of this smartphone, but doesn't give any verbal descriptions:

An Overview of the Samsung Galaxy Lite
The I5700 will be a somewhat scaled back version of Samsung's first Android-based model, the I7500 Galaxy.

This smartphone will have a tablet shape with an AM-OLED touchscreen. It will also sport a 3.2 megapixel camera and 1 GB of built-in memory. 

The version of the Galaxy Lite shown in the video is running Android 1.5, and has Google's standard user interface, not a custom one created by Samsung. Like all Android-based phones, it will come with a suite of Internet and entertainment software, much of which has ties to Google's online services, like Gmail.

There can be no doubt that this device will be released by T-Mobile USA, as the version the FCC approved last month has this carrier's special 3G frequencies.

All the details on this model aren't available yet -- whether it will have Wi-Fi or a GPS reciver, for example.

The I5700 is expected to be an entry-level model, possibly coming in at $100.

According to unconfirmed reports, it will be one of three models running Google's OS released by T-Mobile before the end of this year.
