More webOS Software Added to the App Catalog

The Palm Pre has an on-device software store, but this is still a beta and there are only a few apps available. However, a few more have been added. 

The trickle of new webOS software is not expected to pick up until developers can charge for their software, which is scheduled to start before the end of this year.

The New Apps
The new titles in the App Catalog include:

• AccuRadio (from AccuRadio), offering streaming radio for the U.S. and Canada
• gDial Pro, (Mobile Entertainment Group) lets users access and manage their Google Voice account
• Local Concerts (iLike), gives personalized concert updates
• Simple Bible (Jev Vandegrift), providing the full text of the Bible with a range of ebook features
• Currency Converter (Janni Kovacs), simplifying international transactions
• 420 Wallpaper (A Minor Label), with a selection of artwork
• Forbes (Forbes), for business news
• A trio of new games: Video Poker (bytesequencing.com), Checkers (Keen Studios), and Lights Out (Vasudeva Damarasingu).
