A version of the Pandora free streaming music service has been released for smartphones running Google's Android OS.
This Internet radio service takes the user's favorite songs, artists, or radio stations, and then creates a virtual station that plays songs that are similar.
The application lets users control playback from a home screen widget, "deep tap" any artist or song in the standard Android music player and jump into Pandora to discover other similar artists, and of course listen to the service in the background while doing other things on the phone.
Pricing & Availability
Pandora is available at www.pandora.com/android as well as in the Android Market.
Both the software and the service are free.
