Google Labs has introduced Google Fast Flip for iPhone and Android-powered devices. The goal of this app is to combine some of the best features of reading articles in print and on the Web.
This webapp lets users quickly browse headlines and popular articles, view trending topics, or search for a specific topic.
It allows users to literally flip through stories with the swipe of their finger. To get more information or view the entire article, they simply tap on the screen.
Fast Flip lets users share articles as well.
To build content for this app, Google partnered with three dozen top publishers, including the New York Times, the Atlantic, the Washington Post, Salon, Fast Company, ProPublica and Newsweek.
On the Web
To try it out, point a mobile browser to fastflip.googlelabs.com. Fast Flip works on all iPhone, iPod touch and Android-powered devices.
There is also a version for PCs.
