Video Demo of the HTC Leo Leaks Out

A short video of HTC Leo demonstrates some of the capabilities of this as-yet-unannounced Windows phone, including that its large display will have support for multi-touch.

This smartphone is most notable for its 4.3-inch WVGA screen and 1 GHz processor, and the video shows off both of them.

A user is able to use a index finger and thumb to zoom in an out of images. In a demonstration of the power of this model, the user then zooms in and out of a video while its running.

Multi-touch -- using multiple fingers to touch a display to perform an action -- is included in the iPhone and the Palm Pre, but the HTC Leo may be the first Windows mobile device to have it.

An Overview of the HTC Leo
According to a number of rumors that have been in circulation, the official name for the Leo will be the HTC Pro.Three.

Its 4.3-inch WVGA display will make it one of the bigger Windows phones ever released, but it will have a thin shape.

This device will supposedly run Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro on a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 320 MB of RAM.

According to a specification list that leaked out last month, the HTC Leo will be a GSM phone with the HSDPA version of mobile broadband. Other wireless capabilities will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, and a GPS receiver.

An 8 MPx camera with auto-focus, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm headset jack will supposedly round out the feature list.

It is not known when or where the HTC Leo will hit the market. None of the rumors so far have mentioned a wireless carrier at all.

Pricing is equally unknown, but given its specifications, this will clearly won't be an entry-level model.
