Pricing Info Leaks Out for AT&T Tilt2 and Pure

AT&T is expected to offer two of HTC's newest smartphones, the Touch Pro2 and the Touch Diamond2, in the near future, but with different names. A new unconfirmed report gives the prices for these upcoming models.

This carrier will supposedly release the Touch Pro2 as the AT&T Tilt2, with a price of $300 with a two-year contract and mail-in rebate. That will put it below the price of T-Mobile and Sprint's versions of this smartphone ($350 with contract and MIR), but above Verizon's ($200 with contract and MIR).

The Touch Diamond2 will reportedly be  re-named the AT&T Pure, and sell for $150 with contract. There are no U.S. carriers offering this model at this time.

Unconfirmed reports say the Tilt2 will debut on Oct. 18, but there have been no reports -- official or not -- on the launch date for the Pure.

A Comparison of the AT&T Tilt2 and AT&T Pure
These two smartphone will have much in common -- they will both run Windows Mobile Pro on 528 MHz processors, have WVGA touchscreens, mobile broadband, Wi-Fi, GPS, and microSD card slots. They will have different designs, though.

The Tilt2 will have a 3.6-inch slide-and-tilt display and a horizontally-oriented QWERTY keyboard. The Pure, on the other hand, will have a tablet shape with a 3.2-inch display, and will depend on its on-screen keyboard.

The Tilt2 will reportedly launch with Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro, but there has been no word on which version of this operating system the Pure will run.
