Two smartphones available from AT&T -- the Samsung Epix and the Samsung Jack -- will apparently get upgrades to the latest version of Microsoft's operating system.
A document that has leaked out of this wireless carrier shows that both these models will both be getting Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrades in October, November at the latest.
It's not clear if these will be available for free, but it seems likely.
There has been no word of the AT&T Fuze getting an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5, nor any version of the HTC Touch Pro offered by other carriers.
More about Windows Mobile 6.5
The next version of Microsoft's operating system for high-end phones won't be a major upgrade, but it willinclude significant changes to its appearance.
It will be more fingertip friendly, with many on-screen elements enlarged so users can select them without a stylus. Windows Mobile 6.5 will also have more of a focus on consumers, as the Today Screen has been modified to include items like a music player and photo viewer.
