Dell sends Axim patches via Postal Service
When Dell originally released a ROM update to fix a performance-reducing bug in some of the first Axim handhelds to run Windows Mobile 2003, some enterprising users discovered a way to use the file as a Windows Mobile 2003 upgrade without paying a licensing fee. Now, to avoid a repeat of the incident, Dell is distributing the patch to affected users on CD-ROMs sent by postal mail.
Frankly, this seems a little bit silly to me. Are they going to offer every ROM update by snail-mail only?
