RoadSync 1.0 Brings Exchange ActiveSync to Android Smartphones

After six months in beta, DataViz has completed work on the first version of its Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync client for Android. RoadSync 1.0 is now available for purchase through the on-device Android Market.

Unlike many of its competitors, the Android OS doesn't include software for syncing with Exchange, but RoadSync adds this feature.

This app provides secure, wireless, and direct push synchronization with Microsoft Exchange Server, and supports corporate e-mail, calendar, contacts, and attachments.

RoadSync also offers HTML e-mail, message flags, meeting accept/decline, appointment reminders, a calendar widget, and full contact details including photos.

It even supports the Exchange 2007 Auto-Discovery service, and allows users to set a schedule for synchronizing their inboxes, with peak and off-peak settings.

Tag Team
When Microsoft Office files come in as e-mail attachments, they can be viewed with DataViz Documents To Go 2.0, which offers a free viewer for Microsoft Word and Excel files.

The full version of DocsToGo ($29.99) allows viewing, editing, and creating of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, plus a PDF viewer.
