A watch that is able to display messages that come into a nearby BlackBerry smartphone is apparently on its way from Research in Motion. This smartwatch will be able to display e-mails, as well as notify the user of other events over a short-range connection.
The inPulse will reportedly have an OLED screen, and allow users to see a list of recent messages, and read them, too.
Apparently, RIM doesn't expect people to give up looking at their BlackBerry, but rather allow them easily see if an incoming message is important enough to justify pulling the phone out of pocket, purse, or briefcase.
This will be a read-only device, with no way to input text.
There is now word yet on when the inPulse will be released, or what it will cost.
