When Verizon Wireless introduces the Motorola Droid next month, many people will likely pass by their nearest Verizon store on their way to a Best Buy location, as this retailer will make getting this hot new Android device easier by not requiring a mail-in rebate.
At launch, the Droid will $200 with a new two-year service contract, no matter where it is purchased. However, Verizon stores will require customers to return a $100 mail-in rebate. Best Buy, on the other hand, will not require people to go through the hassle of sending in the rebate.
This retailer is already taking pre-orders, and says this Android-powered cell phone will be in its stores on November 6, the same day it is released by Verizon.
