HTC Touch.B Will Not Run Android

A few days ago, the first details of the HTC Touch.B came to light. At that time, this device was thought to run Google's Android OS, but apparently that's not the case.

The Touch.B will reportedly be HTC's first with Qualcomm's Brew MP, an operating system for featurephones, not one for more advanced smartphones like Android or Windows Mobile.  If this report is true, this will be HTC's debut into a new product category.

The other details that have leaked out about this model show that it will be fairly low-end: a 2 megapixel camera without video support and no Wi-Fi. Still, it will have 3G mobile broadband and Bluetooth.

At this point, no other details have emerged on the HTC Touch.B -- code-name HTC Rose -- such as screen resolution, or when it will be released. 

Brew MP + Adobe Flash
Qualcomm created to power low-cost mobile phones, and the Brew Mobile Platform (Brew MP) takes this and adds more advanced features.

It has a focus on Adobe Flash. Phones running this operating system can take published SWF (Shockwave Flash) files and run them, just as they would any other app.
