Verizon Wireless has begun sending the first system software update to the Motorola Droid. This is a fairly minor update emphasizing bug fixes, but it also promises longer battery life and improvements to the camera.
According to Verizon, the changes in the new software version are:
Downloading and Installing
This system software update is being sent to the Droid over the air. At present, it's not possible for users to manually download it.
Droid owners will be notified when the update has arrived on their device, and will then be walked through the installation process.
This will not erase any information stored on the smartphone.
