Sony is going to release a very interesting product. The PEGA-VR100K video recorder essentially will record television straight to your Memory Stick in Clie-ready format and viewable size (320 x 240). Asian release is scheduled for November 1.
Unfortunately it looks like this device will only record at 15fps, which is fine for most models, but the new UX series can support a much faster frame rate. It will also feature three recording qualities, the higher ones obviously using up more of the memory stick. It's still unknown if this will be released in the US, and at current coversion prices, the VR100K would sell for about $255. While I think this is a tool many like myself would enjoy, I'm not sure the mass market is there, in the US anyway.
