For reasons that aren't yet completely clear, AT&T has stopped selling the Apple iPhone to customers in New York City through its website.
AT&T has not explained the reason for this move, but an unconfirmed report says this it took this measure because of increasing problems with people making fraudulent orders in the area.
New York City residents can still order the iPhone from Apple.com or from AT&T and Apple retail stores.
UPDATE: AT&T has reportedly resumed selling the iPhone in NYC via its website, still without any official explanation.
