T-Mobile USA has decided to gradually shut down its @Home service, which allows consumers to make unlimited calls from a phone connected to a router purchased from T-Mobile.
To use this service, customers plug their home phone into a HiPort wireless router or adapter
The @Home service cost around $10 a month.
Coming to an End
Current @Home subscribers will still be able to use this service until their contracts run out, but T-Mobile will stop taking new subscriptions in the near future.
This change is not ending this carrier's support for making voice calls at its Wi-Fi hotspots -- this VoIP service is not being affected at all.
