Some preliminary information has leaked out on the HTC Scorpion -- a device that could be HTC's next very high-end smartphone. Few details are known, but a mention of a 1.5 GHz processor is enough to catch a great many eyes.
That's a faster processor than anything available now in a phone, as 1 GHz models are just now coming on the market.
The Scorpion -- which also goes by the name HTC Olympian -- will reportedly run an upcoming version of Google's operating system for smartphones, Android OS 2.2. This could be a sign that the debut is still quite some time in the future, as OS 2.1 just debuted last month.
It will also supposedly have the 4G wireless networking standard WiMAX, raising the possibility that it could be offered by Sprint or ClearWire.
Unfortunately, at this point, that is all the information that's available on this model. Not even its design or screen resolution has leaked out yet.
