ACCESS Co., Ltd. has announced plans to release a version of its NetFront web browser for Google's Android OS, giving users an additional option for accessing web sites.
NetFront is a full-featured browser for smartphones, and includes partial support for HTML5, HTML 4.01, XHTM, and CSS. In addition, it has a high-speed JavaScript engine. It supports all the standard features: tabs, frames, bookmarks, etc.
NetFront for Android is on display now at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow. It has not being released yet, but will be avail;able to the public at a later date.
E-Books, Too
ACCESS also plans to develop an Android OS version of NetFront Book Viewer EPUB Edition. This e-book reader software uses the ePub standard, and allows users to highlight body text, insert bookmarks, and add notations.
