An alledged internal Toshiba presentation has surfaced, offering what may be additional specifications on the upcoming e800 PocketPC.

The materials, acquired by PocketPCTools.com, match the specifications from retailers J&R and Amazon, as well as specifying several new wrinkles. The most notable new information is that the e800 alledgedly uses a 480 x 640 pixel full-VGA screen, four times higher resolution than the standard PocketPC. Technically, the PocketPC operating system does not support such a screen, but the specifications indicate that Toshiba intends to use 'pixel doubling', in which each ordinary pixel is stretched to four on the screen, to enable compatibility with the existing system. Presumably, Toshiba will also provide special interfaces so that applications can be rewritten to take advantage of the extra sharpness and clarity.

The presentation also included several vector renderings of the type usually used in such presentations, showing the e800 from several sides.
