This Palm Tungsten E definitely is breaking ground with the quality and features to price ratio. I'm very surprised that Palm has released this very nicely featured, very slim, very sleek looking Tungsten line device for $199.99. It obviously will compete strongly with those that might be buying an iPaq 1945 or Dell Axim device. In fact, I think all Pocket PC manufacturers will have to pay attention to the kind of sales the Tungsten E.

Matt indicates that the screen is as good as the Palm Zire 71 screen, which is of excellent quality. The Tungsten E looks very much like the Palm m5XX series of old, it is a little longer but about the same thinnness. The software bundled with the Tungsten E includes Docs 2 Go, RealPlayer, Palms picture viewer, Palms finance managers and more so that's a pretty decent package. There is no cradle supplied, it uses a cable instead. This device will likely go on sale this week in most areas, Matt was able to get it from a major retail store that jumped the gun on being able to sell it.
