Opera Software has released a new beta version of Opera Mini 5 for devices running Google's Android OS. This web browser has been designed to used much less data than its competitors, and offers features like tabbed browsing, a password manager, and bookmarks.
"Android users should not have to compromise when it comes to surfing the Web on their phones. Opera Mini will give Android users a fast and cost-efficient access to their favorite Web sites and services," said Dag Olav Norem, Vice President of Products, Opera Software.
This browser compresses data traffic by up to 90%, resulting in significantly improved page-loading and speed. This also results in lower browsing costs when on a pay-per-MB data plan or when roaming.
