Verizon Wireless has released an app that lets any of its customers with a BlackBerry have push to talk service, basically making the phone act like a walkie-talkie.
PTT is built into many phones, but this new app brings this service to any model made by Research In Motion that is offered by this carrier.
This software lets users see who is available to talk from among as many as 500 individuals. And group calls can be made to as many as 50 people at one.
Availability
Verizon's new push to talk app for BlackBerrys is free, but there's a $5 monthly service fee.
For more information, go to this carrier's website.
