The launch of the next version of the BlackBerry operating system is reportedly coming this summer.
There will supposedly be many significant changes in BlackBerry OS 6.0, including a redesigned home screen, which will allow users to organize software into different pages.
Devices with touchscreens will get support for multi-touch gestures like pinch-to-zoom in many apps, such as the redesigned image viewer.
RIM has made no secret that it is working on a significantly upgraded web browser, which will debut in BlackBerry OS 6.0. It will be WebKit-compliant, and much more capable than the current one, including support for tabs.
It appears that much of the bundled software has been updated, from the music player to the email app.
Coming Soon
RIM will reportedly release BlackBerry OS 6.0 in June or July; it's still unknown which models are going to be upgraded.
