Full Spec Sheet for Verizon's LG Ally Appears

All the details on the LG Ally have leaked out of Verizon Wireless, who will launch this Android OS 2.1-based smartphone later this month.

An internal Verizon specification sheet shows that the Ally won't be a high-end model as had been previously though, but will have a mid-range feature set. 

It will be a slider, a 3.2-inch WVGA (800 x 480) Touchscreen and a landscape-oriented keyboard.

The Ally will supposedly have a a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, plus it will be bundled with a 4 GB microSD memory card.

Android OS and More
The LG Ally is going to run Google Android OS 2.1 on a 600 MHz processor, not the 1 GHz one that had been previously rumored. It will have 256 MB of RAM.

LG has created a slightly modified version of Google's standard user interface for this model (see here), which will include some additional widgets, including one that displays Facebook and Twitter feeds.

The smartphone will also include the standard suite of Android software, including a WebKit-based browser, Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps, among other features. It will also offer Exchange ActiveSync.

Wireless and More
Naturally, the LG Ally will support Verizon's voice and 3G (EV-DO Rev. A) data networks. The device will also include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS.

Overall, it will be 4.6 x 2.2 x 0.6 inches, and weigh 5.6 ounces. 

Availability
Verizon Wireless will reportedly start taking pre-orders for the LG Ally on Thursday, and LG has already announced that it will launch on May 20.

The price for the smartphone has not yet been revealed.
