HTC HD2 Getting a Small System Software Update

T-Mobile USA is apparently going to announce a "bug fix" update for the software running the HTC HD2 in the coming days.

A changelog is not yet available, but it will reportedly fix a problem that causes the high-end Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone to occasionally lock up.

Those who don't want to wait for an official release can already download it from HTC's website. As this has not been officially announced, it's possible it is a beta version that could cause problems for the device.

Overview of the HTC HD2
This very high-end Windows phone sports a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive Touchscreen and 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.

It runs Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro, but has the new version of HTC's custom user interface layered on top.

Naturally, the HD2 includes mobile broadband (7.2 Mbps HSDPA), plus it includes Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1.

The device also includes a whopping 448 MB of RAM, an 5 MPx camera with auto-focus, a microSD card reader, GPS receiver, 1,230 mAh battery, and a 3.5 mm headset jack.
