The LG Fathom -- a business-oriented smartphone running Microsoft's Windows Mobile OS -- is now available from Verizon Wireless.
This device offers a high-resolution touchscreen, sliding keyboard, fast processor, 3G, Wi-Fi, and worldphone capabilities.
The LG Fathom is selling for $150 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new or renewed two-year customer agreement.
It is available now on Verizon's website and through its business channels.
Overview of the LG Fathom
The smartphone offers a landscape-oriented keyboard that can be hidden behind a 3.2-inch, WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen.
It runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3 on a 1 GHz processor, and will come with Microsoft's suite of communication, productivity, and entertainment applications, including mobile versions of Outlook, Internet Explorer, Office, and Windows Media Player.
The LG Fathom (VS750) supports Verizon's voice and 3G network, and is also able to connect to GSM voice and HSDPA high-speed data networks when roaming outside of the U.S.
It also has Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, and a GPS receiver and associated navigation software.
In addition, the LG Fathom's feature list includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, and a microSD memory card slot.
Physically, it is 4.5 x 2.2 x 0.7 inches (115 x 56 x 17 mm) and 5.36 oz (152 g).
