Overview of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide
T-Mobile is positioning the smartphone as a "crossover" device, which means it's good for both business and personal use.
It has a 3.4-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) touchscreen, slide-out landscape-oriented keyboard, and a trackpad.
The Slide runs Android OS 2.1, which comes with a suite of communication, Internet and personal productivity software. An upgrade to Android OS 2.2 will be released later this year.
This HTC model is the debut of the Faves Gallery, which has been designed to make it easier to communicate with friends and family in a wide variety of ways.
It also has voice recognition software that allows the user to control many of the standard functions with spoken commands.
Naturally, the myTouch 3G Slide is able to access T-Mobile's voice and 3G networks. It also has Wi-Fi and stereo Bluetooth. In addition, the device includes a 5 megapixel camera, GPS receiver and a 1300 mAh Lion battery.
It comes in three colors: black, white or red.
