Android OS-based Samsung Galaxy Beam To Sport a Pico Projector

The Samsung Galaxy Beam is going to be the first Android OS smartphone with a built-in a miniature projector, it is going to offer a range of other high-end features, too.

Its large Super AMOLED Touchscreen and 8 megapixel camera will catch consumer's eyes, but its Texas Instruments DLP pico projector will set it apart from the pack.

Even without this feature, the Galaxy Beam would be a cutting-edge smartphone. It will include a 3.7-inch 800 x 480 (WVGA) touchscreen that uses Samsung's Super AMOLED technology, designed to give a vivid colors.

It will run Google's Android OS 2.1 with a overlay that will make the device look and act like ones running Samsung's bada operating system.

Hardware Details
The Galaxy Beam will be a GSM phone with 7.2 Mbps 3G, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a GPS receiver, and an FM tuner.

It is going to include a 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and flash, as well as a front-facing VGA camera.

The Galaxy Beam is going to have 16 GB of internal storage and a microSD memory card slot.
