Nokia E73 Mode Now Available from T-Mobile

T-Mobile USA has just begun offering the Nokia E73 Mode, a messaging-oriented Symbian smartphone with a slim design featuring a small QWERTY keyboard, QVGA display, 3G, GPS, and Wi-Fi.

This model has a 2.4-inch QVGA (320 x 240) display above an optical trackpad and a QWERTY keyboard.

Nokia is positioning this as a cross-over device, good for both work and play. It comes with this company's Switch Mode feature, which allows users to switch between customizable home screens set up for different purposes, whether it's business or personal life.

The E73 Mode will be able to get email from consumer services as well as Microsoft Exchange. It will also include a web browser and multimedia player.

Business users should find the bundled copies of QuickOffice, Adobe PDF Manager, Ovi Files, and ZIP Manager useful.

This Nokia model is able to access the Ovi Store, which provides access to thousands of third-party productivity applications and games.

Wireless and More
The E73 Mode supports T-Mobile 3G network. It also has Wi-Fi for making VoIP calls and high-speed data access.

Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus, Bluetooth, and a microSD memory card slot.

It has a GPS receiver and Ovi Maps, Nokia's free turn-by-turn navigation service.

Overall, the smartphone is 4.5 by 2.3 by 0.4 inches and weighs 4.5 ounces.

Availability
The Nokia E73 Mode is now available in T-Mobile retail stores, select authorized dealers, and at www.t-mobile.com.

It costs $70 with a two-year service contract, or $300 without one.
